The Three Lions played and win comfortably again the Socceroos

The England national team achieved a 1-0 win in Wembley against Australia in the friendly game against the Socceroos, who were totally dominated by the Three Lions, who defeated their rival with a single goal by the Aston Villa player Ollie Watkins who played his first game with the English team and profited a great assist by Jack Grealish.

The locals dominated the first half, with some non habitual players like Watkins himself and the West Ham United player Jarrod Bowen having some minutes on the pitch, despite James Maddison connecting with the strikers in the last meters, and Jack Grealish were the best and most important players for the Three Lions on the pitch.

However, the goal of the Three Lions would arrive in the second half, with a great play by Jack Grealish, one of the best men for England against Australia. The Manchester City player received a long ball from Trent Alexander Arnold, which he controlled to give a great assist inside the box to the far post, where Ollie Watkins finished the play scoring the goal for the locals.

Gareth Southgate gave minutes to more players in the second half

The goal scored by the Aston Villa player would be the only one in the game, as Gareth Southgate slowed the rhythm of the game down to give entry to new players from the bench, and Rashford, Stones, Trippier, Phillips, Foden and Nketiah had some minutes in the second half, where England still dominated the game but lacked aggressivity in the last metters to make the second, remaining the winner of the game with the final 1-0 result.
