Manchester United’s striker Marcus Rashford will return to the England’s lineup in the English national team’s friendly game against Scotland to be played in Hampden Park where the Three Lions will be tested against one of the sharpenest teams in the Euro 2024 qualification with Liverpool legend Jordan Henderson on the bench amid of the criticism created around the player’s presence with England.
The coach Gareth Southgate will place a starting XI with several changes in all the areas including the goal, where Ramsdale will be the goalkeeper instead of Pickford, while Harry Maguire and Trippier will leave their place to Dunk and Trippier. Jordan Henderson will start from the bench, being replaced by Kalvin Phillips, while in the forward line Foden and Rashford will be alongside Kane and Saka and Maddison will rest on the bench.
On their side, Scotland will place almost the same team who faced Cyprus on the fifth day of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, with McTominay placed in the Scotland's forward line, and he could also help the team's midfield to create superiority in the middle against England.
England will try to test his quality in a classic British game with the following lineup: Ramsdale; Walker, Dunk, Guehi, Trippier; Kalvin-Phillips, Rice, Bellingham; Foden, Kane, Rashford. As substitutes, England will place the following players: Johnstone, Pickford, Chilwell, Henderson, Maguire, Tomori, Saka, Eze, Colwill, Maddison, Gallagher,Wilson, Nketiah
