Ange Postecoglou could recover a key player for Tottenham to face Manchester United.

Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag could be receiving bad news in the next few weeks, as one of the key players in Tottenham could be ready to return to the team to face the Red Devils in January in the Spurs’ visit to Old Trafford for the twenty-first day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

The player in question is the Dutch defender Micky van de Ven, a key piece in Tottenham’s defense, which could be really sharpened for the visit of the North London team to Old Trafford, as the Spurs’ manager Ange Postecoglou himself revealed in the last press conference he had ahead of the Tottenham’s away game against Brighton this week.

The Australian-Greek manager admitted that the Dutch defender could be back in the next few weeks after having suffered a muscle injury that kept him on the sidelines for at least 55 days. Postecoglou revealed that the player could be available for the first weeks of January, where the team will face Burnley in the FA Cup and Manchester United in the Premier League.

In this sense, the manager discarded the participation of the player in the game against Burnley, but assured that he could be totally fit to be included in the squad to face the Red Devils in Old Trafford, which would be a really bad news for Ten Hag, whose team was heavily hammered in Tottenham’s stadium when the Spurs had the couple Romero-van de Ven in the defense, a situation that now can be repeated.
