A Manchester United former player could return to the Premier League in the January market.

A former Manchester United player went under the spotlight in the last few days after having been targeted by a Premier League club, which would be really interested in signing him during the January transfer market window to strengthen their squad for the second part of the season.

The player in question would be the Serbian 35-year-old midfielder Nemanja Matic, who arrived to the Premier League in 2011 from Benfica to join Chelsea for 25 million before signing for Manchester United in 2017 for 44 million and leaving the Red Devils in 2022 to join AS Rome as a free agent.

The player, who left the Italian side last summer to join AS Rennes on a loan transfer, would be now evaluating his options to find a new destination in the market after not having succeed as expected neither in Italian nor French football, and a Premier League team would have appeared again on the horizon to offer him a new challenge in his career.

The player could receive a juicy proposal from a London club

According to the English journal Daily Mail, Fulham would be really interested in counting on the veteran midfielder and could make him a juicy proposal to join them during this January transfer window, a deal which would be really controversial in West London in case of being finally confirmed given the past of the player at Chelsea, the main rival of Fulham in that area of the City.
