The City midfielder has just surprised everyone and the Spanish side are already rubbing their hands together to sign him.

History has just been made in the FA Cup. One of the players most wanted by FC Barcelona is being the most outstanding in this match with two goals and, without a doubt, his value is increasing minute by minute, which makes Josep Guardiola want to retain him as much as possible in his squad.

And it is İlkay Gündoğan who is taking the spotlight in the match between Manchester City and Manchester United. The Manchester Derby is on fire and, although it looked like the Citizens could take an easy win, Erik ten Hag's side are not making it easy for them.

Guardiola will be hoping to win this final and dream of a ‘triplete’ in early June as they contest the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan and become the best team in Europe and the world, reinforcing the idea that the signings they have made this season are the reason for this brilliant run of form.

It's not just Eerling Haaland or Kevin de Bruyne who have driven the team. İlkay Gündoğan has already become a key player and that has put him in the sights of FC Barcelona, who are looking for him not to renew his contract next summer with City so that they can get him and, moreover, in a free way because of the Financial Fair Play issue.

What was Gündoğan's FA Cup goal like?

In the first minute of the FA Cup final, İlkay Gündoğan score the fastest goal in the history of the competition, which is now pure history for the German. That put Manchester City ahead against United, who could have equalised through Bruno Fernandes' penalty. However, it was Gündoğan himself who gave the Citizens the lead again.
