An Arsenal player went under the spotlight in the last few hours as he would have been revealed as one of the new captains for the England national team in the euro 2024, once the English manager Gareth Southgate would have already internally revealed the list of four players who would be captained the team during the tournament.
In this sense, according to the English journal Daily Mail, the Arsenal 24-year-old midfielder Declan Rice would be named as the fourth captain for the Three Lions by Gareth Southgate behind the Bayern Munchen 30-year-old striker Harry Kane, the Manchester United 30-year-old defender Harry Maguire, and the Manchester City 33-year-old right back Kyle Walker.
The potential role of the Arsenal player in the team would be a great reward for the midfielder, who is completing a sensational season with the Gunners, where he joined this summer from West Ham for €116 million, having already completed 19 games with the Gunners, scoring two goals and giving two assists.
Meanwhile, it would be worth mentioning that he has already played 48 games with the England national team scoring three goals once he joined the Three Lions in 2019 after having played for all the categories -including the senior team- of the Ireland national team from 2015 to 2018.
