The Dutchman regretted the absence of some key players for the game

Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag gave bad news to the Red Devils’ fans in the latest club’s press conference ahead of the game against Brighton in Old Trafford on the fifth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, where a victory would have a capital importance for the Red Devils to jump to the top of the league.

In this sense, the Dutchman was asked by the possibility of counting on Manchester United’s new signing Sofyan Amrabat for the game, and he answered disappointedly that the Moroccan player would not be available for the game. "Amrabat, he came back unfortunately with the injury, so he will not be available for Saturday, but I think, on the short notice soon, yes”, explained the coach.

In addition, Ten Hag confirmed the absence of other important players for the team in the game against Brighton, letting know that Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia will not be available, while Mason Mount neither could be included in the squad despite his presence in the game was rumored by the media during the last week.

Ten Hag would also have good news in his squad

However, the Dutch manager also had good news for the game, since the Argentine player Lisandro Martinez could be available to play alongside Lindelof, after both players had to leave the pitch against Arsenal in the last Premier League game for Manchester United before the international break, and it would be expectable that both players are in the team’s lineup against Brighton.
