The Blues would consider the player’s price too high

Chelsea would be trying again to sign the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus but the negotiations with the Italian team could have turned into a really difficult deal to seal. The Blues would have open the option to sign the striker because of the player’s disposition to leave his club, which they thought could help to get an agreement and they would have tried to involve Romelu Lukaku in the deal.

In this sense, after Inter Milan definitely decided to break their relationship with Lukaku due to his silences (confirmed, with disappointment, by Lautaro Martínez) and above all due to his contacts with Juventus, Chelsea would not have another way to get rid of Lukaku than trying to involve him in a swap deal for Vlahovic, who had already been linked with Chelsea.

An exchange between the Serbian and the former player would make everyone happy and the clubs are trying to find a solution to achieve it, despite having a great gap in the players’ valuation yet, as reported by the Italian media in the last few hours.

Both clubs would be discussing around the players’ valuation

At the moment, according to the Italian media, Juventus does not want to sell off or devalue Vlahovic, who would be valued at €90 million and the Italian team would require at least a €70 million offer plus €10 million in bonuses to let the player go. However, Chelsea would be unwilling to value Vlahovic substantially twice as much as Lukaku, whom they value at 40 million, and both teams would try to continue the talks in the next few days to seal the deal before the new season starts.
