The Brazilian superstar won’t finally join the Premier League

Neymar Junior’s future finally seems to be far from the Premier League, since the Brazilian superstar has been reported to be about to leave PSG to the Saudi Pro League in the next few hours. The 31-year-old player, recently linked with FC Barcelona and Chelsea, could be really close to completing an unexpected move to Saudi club Al Hilal.

In this sense, and according to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Neymar would be close to exit from the Parisian team in the next few hours, after the French club and Al Hilal have reached an agreement for €90 million plus add-ons raising the package until €140 million to land the player to the Saudi Pro League.

Following these sources, Neymar would sign a two-year contract worth around 100 million per year with the Saudi giant that finally found a star to face their main rival in the league Al Nassr and their top superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the player could have played for Chelsea according to Fabrizio Romano, but Neymar would not have joined the Blues for an unexpected reason that has finally been revealed.

Chelsea would have wanted to protect their players

According to the Romano sources, Chelsea rejected Neymar in early June, when they were offered the chance to sign the player but the club decided to protect their players, and in this sense, the decision would have to do with the fact of protecting the role of Mijailo Mudryk role in the team, since the Blues could consider the Ukrainian striker as their new superstar for the attack, a proof of which was then the fact that giving the striker the Chelsea number 10 instead of signing Neymar.
