Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp set another revolutionary lineup in the Europa League opener for the Reds in Anfield against the Union St. Gilloise, where Alexis Mac Allister, who started the game from the bench, faced his brother Kevin, as one of the main players in the Belgian team.
Jürgen Klopp gave minutes to Trent Alexander Arnold and Darwin Nunez from the start, alongside Diogo Jota, who will not be able to play in the Premier League after having received a red card against Tottenham in the last day of the competition, and some young players like Chambers or Doak were on the bench for the Reds waiting for an opportunity to join the game.
On their side, Union St. Gilloise, who achieved a draw in their first game in the Europa League against Toulouse, arrived to the game after losing in the league against Genk, who achieved an important 0-2 win against the Unioners, who are currently the leaders of the Belgian league with six victories in nine games played.
Liverpool will try to achieve the victory with the following lineup: Alisson; Alexander Arnold; Konate, Quansah, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Endo, Elliott; Salah, Nunez, Jota. On the bench, the following players will wait for an opportunity to join the game:Jaros, Mrozek, Gomez, Van Dijk, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Robertson, Matip, Chambers, Doak.
