Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham showed his quality again with the England national team and led his team to the 1-3 victory against Scotland in the friendly game played in Hampden Park to celebrate the historic 150-year-old rivalry between both teams.
Bellingham played a pivotal role for the English national team, initiating the attack in most of the chances created by his team, as he did at the 32nd minute of the game to create the occasion converted by Phil Foden. In addition, the Real Madrid player scored a goal at the 34th minute with a powerful right footed shot from the front of the box.
However, the great action by Bellingham arrived at the 80th minute, when he turned on himself in a classy play, to give then an excellent assist to Harry Kane, who sealed the 1-3 victory when England was suffering against a highly competitive team of Scotland.
The young player, who was awarded by the fans as the best player of the game, was also praised by his coach Gareth Southgate, who in the after game press conference mentioned the player’s performance. “He doesn’t have a point to prove to us, we know he is a really good player. Tonight his athleticism to press was so important. Scotland’s system is difficult to play against so we slightly changed our system and he did that well”, revealed Southgate.
