Manchester City’s winger Jack Grealish was one of the best players for the England national team in their 1-0 win against Australia in Wembley in the friendly game facing both countries. The English player was not only a really important player for his team but he also played a key role in the only goal scored by the Three Lions against the Socceroos.
In this sense, Jack Grealish was one of the main menaces of England in the first half against Australia, connecting really well with Tottenham’s playmaker James Maddison and creating great goal chances which were not materialized, ending the first part of the game scoreless.
However, the English winger would become crucial in the play of the first and only goal for England in the game, in a play where he received a great long ball from Trent Alexander Arnold and controlled it inside the box, giving a crossed pass to the far post which was profited by the Aston Villa player Ollie Watkins, who finished the play setting the 1-0 in the score.
In this way, Grealish returned to the Three Lions’ squad after having been out due to an injury which avoided him to play against Ukraine and Scotland in the last international break, once he had already recovered from his injury and become important both in the England national team and in Manchester City in the last few games.
