The press are always thinking about how to make the big stars fight for the biggest clubs. They want a major feud to grow so they can get headlines in the papers and situations would get tense in the dressing room at the end of training.
Kylian Mbappé knows he will be on his own next season with Paris Saint-Germain. Lionel Messi surprisingly left for the United States with MLS side Inter Miami and Neymar Jr. has major offers in Saudi Arabia and the Premier League, specifically Manchester United.
What is certain is that there was a lot of booing from the Parisian fans in the last few rounds of Ligue One. It is not understood how they could be negative towards a player like Messi, even though he failed to win the UEFA Champions League the last two years Les Parisiens.
Now, Mbappé gave some important statements that could change the perspective of what happened with Messi in the last few games. All this in the face of a gale of news about the Frenchman and his refusal to renew his contract and an onslaught from Real Madrid to have him in this summer market.
In words shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappé said that Lionel Messi is one of the best players in history and that his departure was never good news. He added: "I don't quite understand why so many people were so relieved that he was gone. He didn't get the respect he deserved in France".
