It's the day of the UEFA Champions League final. Manchester City take on Inter Milan in Istanbul, Turkey. The spotlight is on Josep Guardiola's side, who could clinch a coveted treble for the Citizens and make them the best team in Europe.
There have been many historic players who have won several European Cups in their careers. Remember one of the greatest like Cristiano Ronaldo, who today is playing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr, who could not be champions of their league with the Portuguese in their ranks.
One of his Real Madrid teammates was Gareth Bale. The Welshman was a rebel at the Spanish club and is still remembered by fans in a bittersweet way. They thank him for his goals in winning titles, but his attitude during the seasons was disastrous.
Already as a former footballer he has been asked about his relationship with Ronaldo and Madrid. And despite the fact that they shared dressing room and glories on Iberian soil, he can come clean about who is the best in the history of the UEFA Champions League and, perhaps, history.
At an event prior to the Champions League final, Bale was asked who was the best player to have won the european trophy, and without hesitation he answered Lionel Messi, completely ignoring team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. What could be glimpsed is that there was some friction between the winger and the Lusitanian star during his time with Real Madrid.
