Liverpool’s midfielder Alexis Mac Allister surprised the media and the fans in the last few hours by providing his own injury update ahead of the next Liverpool’s clash against Newcastle for the twentieth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season to be played in Anfield on Monday.
In this sense, it would be worth remembering that the Argentine player has missed the last six games for Liverpool due to an injury suffered in Liverpool’s last visit to Sheffield United, where the player suffered a nasty cut to the bone on his left knee, which has kept the player on the sidelines since then.
In this respect, when asked about the player’s availability to play against Newcastle, Jürgen Klopp wouldn’t want to give certain and concrete information about the potential presence of the player, answering a simple “we’ll see” which didn’t clarify anything on the player’s fitness at that moment.
However, Mac Allister himself wanted to give his own injury update in the last few hours through his personal social media, where he surprised the fans with an exciting message on his fitness. “Back on the pitch with more determination than ever, and I couldn’t be happier,” said the Argentine in a video posted in his Instagram after making his full return to the AXA Training Centre, from what it could be understood that he would be at least included in the Liverpool’s squad to host Newcastle in Anfield.
