Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta would be focused on improving the team during the next few months, aiming to make several important movements in the January transfer market window to strengthen the squad for the second part of the season, where the Gunners will front important games in all competitions.
In this sense, the Spanish manager would have already identified one of his top targets to sign for the North London team, and the institution could make their first steps in the negotiations for the player in the next few weeks, when the Gunners could initiate the contacts to seal the player’s arrival to the Emirates Stadium.
The player in question is the Dutch 17-year-old defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax, currently considered one of the top gems of Dutch football, and one of the great ambitions of Mikel Arteta for Arsenal’s defense, which could be really improved by the wonderkid, able to play in different positions and with a great scope to improve his great quality as a player.
According to the English journal The Telegraph, Hato is considered by Arteta as a potential new Jurrien Timber, as the player has already captained Ajax at his short age and has played every minute of every match for his club, who are currently fifth in the Eredivisie, covering the absence of the Arsenal's Dutchman in the team.
