Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp would have received important news in the last few hours, as Bayer Leverkusen would have already told the Reds the asking price required for one of the top targets of the German manager, who would have identified the Ecuadorian 21-year-old center back Piero Hincapie as the right man to sign to improve their defense.
Hincapie, who is currently considered by the football experts as one of the top superstars of Ecuadorian football, is one of the most important players in Bayer Leverkusen at his short age, and has completed 17 appearances with the team managed by Xabi Alonso during this campaign.
In this sense, according to the English journal The Mirror, Bayer Leverkusen would have already told Liverpool that they require €60 million for the transfer of Piero Hincapie, having also expressed their unwillingness to lose any important player during the January transfer market window.
In this respect, Liverpool could be urged to wait until the summer to negotiate for the player unless it wouldn’t be discarded that the Reds try to convince the German side to negotiate for the player in this month given the problems of absences suffered by the Merseyside squad in their defense during the season.
