A Manchester United former star went under the spotlight in the last few hours after appearing in a bizarre video on social media where a tailor joked on the player’s financial misery by revealing that he can’t even afford a suit, proving the player’s current bankruptcy after a successful career as a star of Sir Alex Ferguson’s Red Devils.

The player in question is the retired defender Wes Brown, who played for Manchester United from 1996 to 2011 making 362 appearances for the Red Devils before joining Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers and playing for the Indian club Kerala Blaster, his last club in his career before retiring in 2018.

Brown, declared bankrupt in April 2023, was recently seen in a video posted from Hong Kong, as he appeared in a seemingly tattered blue suit after making a visit to Sam’s Tailor, where he was recorded in a TikTok video alongside joint owner Roshan Melwani.

Melwani introduced Brown as a "Manchester United legend" before going on to claim the ex-England international has 'nothing left in the tank', adding “'the problem with ex-footballers is that they're so washed up, they can't even afford a suit! They can afford a partial suit”, while Brown joked about the situation saying “It’s a new style”.
