Mauricio Pochettino plans important changes in his squad at Chelsea.

Chelsea’s coach Mauricio Pochettino would be focused on improving his squad for the second part of the season and his plans could include the sale of several young players in the January transfer market to reinvest in new elite players for the team for concrete weak areas in it.

For this reason, the Blues already started to seal the exit of several of those players, as the West London team recently sent Alex Matos to Huddersfield Town in a loan transfer and now they could be close to complete a second departure in Mauricio Pochettino’s team, which will lose an important player who shined with sensational performances during the start of the season.

The player in question would be the Dutch 21-year-old player Ian Maatsen, who plays as a fullback and has even played on the wings during this season, leaving great moments for the fans of the Blues, who saw in the Dutchman one of the best free kick takers in the Pochettino’s squad.

The details of the deal would be known in the next few days

However, according to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Ian Maatsen would be close to leaving the club on a loan transfer to Borussia Dortmund, whose proposal to Chelsea would have already been sent and the Blues would be willing to accept it to grant the formation of the player in the second part of the season. Following these sources, Maatsen would be sent to the German side on a six-month loan and the details of the operation would be known in the next few days when the deal is completed.
