Manchester City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was the main star in the Citizen’s victory 1-0 against Brentford in the Etihad Stadium in their postponed Premier League clash, which allowed the locals to recover some advantage to keep on fighting for the league title.
Julian remains, the Manchester City’s attack Pep Guardiola set to beat Brentford
The Scandinavian attacker, who hadn’t scored in the last two games for the Citizen, could leave his landmark in the clash against the Bees by netting the only goal of the locals in the game, leading them to be only one point behind Premier League’s leaders Liverpool in the table.
The locals, who struggled to disarm the solid defense set by Thomas Frank’s Brentford, could finally find their way to open the scoring through the Norwegian striker in the 71st minute in a game where Kevin De Bruyne started on the bench and Oscar Bobb and Julian Alvarez were the men feeding the Premier League’s top scorer.
With his goal against Brentford, Haaland didn’t only seal the win for the Citizen, as he also reached the 17 goals in the Premier League this season and put some distance from Mohamed Salah, his best suitor in this aspect with 15 goals, but the Norwegian striker also reached an historical record in his career with Manchester City.
Manchester City to make this acquisition to continue their global domination
After having netted against Brentford, Haaland would have finally scored against all 22 different clubs in the Premier League, which would be a huge stat not reached by any contemporanean striker in the league.
