Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City remained inside the race for the league title thanks to a sensational 3-1 win against Burnley FC in the Etihad Stadium on the twenty-second day of the 2023/2024 Premier League. The Citizens played comfortably in front of their public, and Julian and Rodri were the scorers for the locals.

The Argentine striker, who was celebrating his 24th birthday, led the Citizen while Erling Haaland, recently recovered from a serious injury, started the game from the bench. Julian started his great game by opening the scoring for the Citizen in the 16th minute with a nice header after being assisted by Matheus Nunes.

Only six minutes later, Julian himself extended the lead for the locals by netting with a cool finish a clever low pass from De Bruyne from a free kick, a play that caught the visitors totally unaware and showed the quality and dominance of Guardiola's side to get profit from the set pieces.

The second half followed the path of the first one, and the locals increased their lead to 3-0 with an early goal by Rodri, who needed just 25 seconds to score for the Citizen through a powerful low shot from the edge of the box following a great combination between De Bruyne and Phil Foden.
