Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp surprised the media and the fans with the inclusion of two crucial stars in his lineup to face Burnley in Anfield on the twenty-fourth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

The German coach, who arrived to the game with the absences of Thiago Alcantara and Mohamed Salah due to injuries, recently added Dominik Szboszlai to the sidelines due to a slight injury ahead of the game against Burnley, which the Reds need to win to remain on the top of the Premier League.

For this reason, Klopp gave entry to Wataru Endo in his starting XI despite the Japanese star coming from playing heavy minutes in the Asian Cup with his country, and Jota was placed on the right to cover Salah’s absence.

However, Klopp could finally include his two ideal full backs in the team to shield the defense, as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, will be back to face the Clarets. Liverpool started the game with the following lineup: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Endo, Jones; Jota, Nunez, Diaz. On the bench, Jürgen Klopp had the following substitutes: Adrian, Mrozek, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Clark, McConnell, Koumas.
