Manchester United fans got enraged in the last few hours after knowing the price that Tottenham will pay for the German striker Timo Werner in the January transfer market window, given that the former Chelsea player was previously linked with Manchester United as a potential addition to their forward line that never arrived at Old Trafford.
The German striker, who conquered the Champions League when he was at Chelsea, joined the RB Leipzig last season for €20 million, where he didn’t have enough minutes to show his quality, and now is ready to travel to London to complete his medical tests with Tottenham after Manchester United didn’t achieve his signing after having been highlighted as one of the top targets to sign by Erik Ten Hag.
In this sense, the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano would have given a shocking information about the player’s arrival to Tottenham in the last few hours, revealing the ridiculous price that the North London team would pay for the striker, which has enraged the Manchester United fans, who criticized mercilessly their club for not having signed the German player before.
According to the information given by Romano, Tottenham would sign the German striker on a loan transfer with a buy option included in the deal set at €17 million, an amount which United fans consider their club could have easily paid to secure the arrival of the player to Old Trafford in the second part of the season.
