The Magpies will rebuild their midfield for the next few years

Newcastle secured the permanence of one of their football gems in the squad until 2028.

Newcastle United’s coach Eddie Howe would be focused on securing a great future for the Magpies by making quick and effective deals in the market during the next few months, and the Englishman would have started to follow the master lines of his plan by securing his first top player in the squad to create an elite midfield.

The player in question would have been labeled as the club’s next Tonali, given the great he has developed in the squad after the Italian midfielder's ten-month sanction due to illegal betting that will keep him apart from the football activities until next season, which was a serious blow to the Magpies.

This player is the young 17-year-old English midfielder Lewis Milley, who has impressed during this season with Newcastle where he has already scored a goal and given an assist in his 10 appearances with the senior team of the Magpies, which he joined after Tonali started his sanction.

Newcastle to reinforce their midfield ahead of Bruno Guimaraes’ near exit

As a reward to his great job at the team, the Englishman extended his contract until June 2028, granting his presence with the Magpies for the next four seasons, which would also be a way in which Newcastle would try to reinforce their midfield ahead of a potential sale of Bruno Guimaraes in the summer for around €100 million to strengthen the finances of the club and avoiding to break the FIFA Fair Play Regulations.
