Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen surprised the British media and fans in the last few hours after speaking out to Sky Sports on the next steps in his future, having sent a strong and direct message to the Premier League, whose fans would have gotten saddened by the Nigerian scorer’s words, as unexpected as unfortunately clear.
Chelsea targeting two top strikers from Saudi Pro League for January market
The 24-year-old striker, who is currently playing the AFCON with the Nigerian national team in Ivory Coast, has been strongly linked with several top European teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea due to potential disagreements with Napoli’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis, rumors that Osimhen himself clarified when speaking for Sky.
The Nigerian striker surprised everyone from his national team’s camp in Africa by revealing that he has a really good relationship with the Napoli’s president, leaving clear that his departure from the Italian side would have still to wait for some time. “I have a serious good relationship with Aurelio, he’s been with me since I signed for the club in 2020, and I have a good relationship with his family also”, he revealed.
Shocking, the impressive way Liverpool could sign Colwill from Chelsea
In this sense, Osimhen revealed that playing in the Premier League would be a dream come true for him in his career, but rejected to join English football during the January transfer market window, confessing that at the moment he has important plans at Italian football which he’s looking forward to. “This isn’t the moment but when the moment comes, everyone will know”, he said.
