A former Liverpool manager went under the spotlight in the last few hours due to his great performance given as a coach in Scottish football, where he has set an incredible record against the main rival of the team he manages, which has contributed to enlarge the history of the manager in Scotland.
The manager in question is the North Irish coach Brendan Rodgers, who coached Liverpool from 2012 to 2015 during 166 games and joined the Celtic in 2016, developing a great career with the Scottish club until 2019, conquering two Scottish Premier League titles, three League Cup titles, and two Scottish Cup titles with the Bhoys.
During that time, he developed a great record in the Old Firm, the rivalry game against Glasgow Rangers, where the manager always had great results, and after joining Celtic again this summer, he has increased his own record, enlarging a great and significant dominance of the Scottish derby as a Celtic manager.
In this sense, according to the sporting data company Opta Sport, Rodgers has lost just once in this fixture across his two spells in Glasgow, winning 11 out of 14 matches, meaning he has the best win ratio of any manager in Old Firm games in Scottish Premier League’s history, with a 79 percent of winning percent in the Scottish football derby.
