Manchester City’s coach Pep Guardiola had a moment of brutal honesty with the media and the fans during the club’s press conference ahead of the Citizen’s FA Cup away game against Luton Town, where the Catalan manager revealed one of the main inconveniences he’s facing in the season.

While Foden scores for Man City, this is Man United’s fans verdict on Rashford

The 53-year-old boss was asked about the recent injuries suffered in the squad following the problems faced by Kovacic, Grealish or Josko Gvardiol in the last few games, and he gave a massive honest answer that nobody in the press room would have expected.

Guardiola profited the question to hit the football organisms again, as he had already done in the early days of the season, when he criticized mercilessly the busy calendar faced by the players during the campaign.

In this sense, Guardiola didn’t have any doubt on expressing concern on the calendar that Manchester City will face in the next few weeks, having a busy March that could be crucial for the Citizen’s ambitions in the season.

After scoring with Man City, Erling Haaland paid this tribute on his Instagram

What did Guardiola say?

“We are tired”, said Guardiola, and added, “of course we are, but it is what it is. I see the schedule is three days and after Tuesday to Sunday is a lot and after we have Champions League and after we have another one and comes now the big month that’s United, and maybe I don’t know an FA Cup, against Brighton, and after in Liverpool, and Arsenal, and Aston Villa, so yeah, welcome!”, complained the Catalan manager, visibly annoyed with the busy calendar that City will face in the next few weeks.
