Marcus Rashford will face an important sanction at Manchester United after lying to Ten Hag.

Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag would be ready to set a massive internal punishment to the 26-year-old striker Marcus Rashford after the player was caught lying about being ill to skip a training session with the manager and his teammates after having been partying in Belfast just a few hours before.

In this sense, despite Erik Ten Hag declined to give details about the matter labeling it as an internal matter he would deal with in the next few days, the punishment for the striker would be close to being known according to the English journal The Mirror, and Rashford could face a great sanction from the Dutchman.

Following these sources, Rashford, who arrived at Carrington training center in his Lamborghini with his brother acting as his agent, could be ready to face a fine of two weeks’ wages worth €650,000 in a non precedent exemplary sanction to punish that type of behavior in the squad.

This isn’t the first incident between Ten Hag and Rashford

In this respect, it would be worth remembering that this wouldn’t be the first time that Rashford is accused of a possible lack of professionalism at Manchester United, as Ten Hag slammed publicly the striker in October following his night out after United were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City in the Mancunian derby, and in December he dropped the 26-year-old against Wolverhampton after he overslept and was late for a meeting.
