The player in question is the Sunderland’s 23-year-old goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, who was linked with a transfer to Liverpool in the summer before Arsenal and Manchester City started to track him, being now really focused on his transfer in the short term to secure a young keeper for their teams.

According to the English journal The Sun, both the Gunners and the Citizen would have put their eyes on the young keeper to have a new backup option for the position in the squad, given that Aaron Ramsdale and Ortega Moreno could be close to leaving Arsenal and Manchester City respectively.
