Liverpool’s coach Pep Lijnders spoke to the media ahead of the next game for the Anfield team against Fulham in Craven Cottage on the second leg of the Carabao Cup semifinals and surprised everyone by announcing the injury update of Trent Alexander Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai, who have been on the sidelines during the last few games and could finally make their return to the squad.

Lijnders , who was asked by several injured players in the squad, such as Andy Robertson, who could be finally included in the group of players traveling to West London to face Fulham, didn’t hesitate on providing information about the current fitness experienced by Arnold and Szoboszlai, who missed the last few games with the team.
“Trent is progressing well through his rehab, working hard – how he is as a guy, knowing how important the next weeks are. He will be back at the end of the week for team training, so hopefully he will be available for the FA Cup”, said Lijnders.

About Szoboszlai, the Dutch coach was more confident, despite his reluctance to make the Hungarian play against Fulham. “Dom trained yesterday with us, just one small-sided game, one-touch game, but played good, felt good, did some extra work with the sports science team. He is ready but tomorrow comes too early for him, so he will be ready for the weekend if nothing goes wrong.”
