Manchester United’s new minority stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe prepares the first steps of his project as the new owner of the Red Devils and he would have already set the purchase of an exclusive golf club as a part of his plans at the Mancunian institution, which soon could become a modern elite brand as the British billionaire already promised.

Ratcliffe, who recently visited Carrington’s training complex, had an informal gathering with several important members at the Manchester United’s entourage, as fans groups, coaching staff, and members of INEO’S board to make his dream of turning the club an elite institution in all the possible fronts.
In this sense, according to the English journal Daily Mail, Ratcliffe would be preparing one of the main measures in his master plan at United, as he believes Carrington training complex is at full capacity and wants a new site with more space to expand into, reason why he would be in serious talks to buy an exclusive golf club in the South Manchester area in the next few weeks.

Following these sources, The club would have been purchased by Warrington-based American Golf for £2.7million in 2021 and listed for sale last year, boasts an 18-hole Championship course, a nine hole course, a 24-bay floodlit driving range, along with a golf store, clubhouse bar and restaurant. In addition the course would be understood to tick many boxes for United, one of them being that it is near to where many of the players live in Cheshire.
