Tottenham’s coach Ange Postecoglou would be focused on making new signings during the January transfer market window, when the Australian-Greek manager will try to strengthen the squad to face competitively the second part of the season despite the absences suffered during the campaign.

The manager, who would have identified the Manchester United target Jean Clair Todibo as the right player to sign for the team’s defense, would have although decided to change his plans in the last few hours, as the Spurs will plot on a new target after having gotten fed up on the French superstar due to the difficulties to get an agreement with OGC Nice.

In this sense, according to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham would have opened talks with Genoa for the Romanian 21-year-old center back Radu Dragusin, who has been one of the best players for the Italian team during this season and could soon seal his arrival to the Postecoglou’s squad.

Tottenham wouldn’t be alone in the race to sign the player

However, the signing of Dragusin wouldn’t be that easy for Tottenham, as according to the Italian media Napoli would be in the race to sign the player and the Napolitanian team would be keen on stealing Tottenham's market target, as the new Italian champion would be also aiming to seal an agreement with Genoa, who is asking for around €30 million to let their defender leave.
