Ange postecoglou would be keen on signing an Ajax gem for Tottenham in January.

Tottenham’s coach Ange Postecoglou would be determined to fight for the Champions League positions in this season, and he would be totally focused on improving his squad during the January transfer market window, as he already identified a top target to sign to strengthen the team’s midfield in the next few weeks.

The Australian-Greek manager, who will have great absences in that area of the team in the next month due to the participation of Yves Bissouma and Sarr in the African Cup of Nations with Mali and Senegal respectively, would be willing to sign a new midfielder to play their role in the team during the second part of the season and he would have already identified the right player for the position.

According to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham would be tracking the Belgian 18-year-old midfielder Stanis Idumbo Muzambo from Ajax, a player with a really similar profile to that of Bissouma or Sarr who could make an immediate impact at Tottenham.

Tottenham wouldn’t be alone in the race for the player

Muzambo has scored three goals in his ten appearances with Ajax this season, and his physical strength on the pitch hasn’t been unnoticed by the top teams in Europe. Tottenham wouldn’t be then alone in the race to sign the young midfielder, as Sevilla would be also keen on signing the Belgian 18-year-old and would be a great competence for Spurs.
