Liverpool went under the spotlight for a shocking news ahead of their next game against Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium for the third round of the FA Cup, which will be a tough clash for the Reds against one of the most powerful teams in English football on these days, who already put the Anfield team on the ropes in their last Premier League game.
In this sense, it would be worth remembering that for the third year in a row, Arsenal will play a match in a special all-white kit, which will be used in the clash against Liverpool despite the traditional taboo due to rivalry with Tottenham Hotspur, just as a part of the club’s 'No More Red' campaign, designed to raise awareness of the epidemic of knife crime and youth violence in London.
Unlike previous years, the white kit will be worn at the Emirates this season, marking a historic first. For Liverpool, there will clearly no longer be a clash of colors, but they will also leave their red shirts behind to emulate Arsenal and be part of the defense of the campaign honored by Arsenal.
For this reason, Liverpool will wear their purple shirt to face the Gunners, whose Community boss Freddie Hudson praised the campaign as an opportunity to showcase the work the club has done in the local area. “No More Red provides a unique opportunity to highlight almost four decades of our local community work which has helped keep thousands of young people safe,” he told Arsenal's official website, and would be happy to see Liverpool joining them in the campaign.
