West Ham surprisingly lost a top player in their squad during the January transfer window

The Hammers sent the player on a loan transfer to AS Monaco

West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer was transfered to AS Monaco on a six-month loan until June 30.

Premier League transfer market has started to work on these days and some important players are already leaving their clubs, as it happened to West Ham, who sent on a loan transfer to one of their important players in the squad rotation, who was transferred to the French league to have a satisfactory experience by getting some minutes of play.

The player in question is the German 27-year-old defender Thilo Kehrer, who was sent to AS Monaco in a loan transfer by West Ham, who would be ready to reinvest the money fund during the January transfer market window in important players to strengthen the squad for the second part of the season.

Kehrer, who has completed 12 appearances in this season with the Hammers, has signed for six months with the French side, with his contract running until June 30; and a buy option of €11 million included in the deal by West Ham, who now will be trying to sign a new defender during the next few weeks.

The player has scarcely played under David Moyes’ management

Meanwhile, Kehrer will again play in the French league, where he already completed four seasons at PSG before signing for West Ham last season for €12 million and having scarcely played under David Moyes’ management, as the Scottish manager has preferred to give minutes to other players such as Mavropanos, Aguerd, Zouma or Ogbonna.
