Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag would have taken a new measure to improve his team’s midfield for their next game in Old Trafford against Nottingham Forest in the third day of the 2023/2024 Premier League, and after having been confirmed the Mason Mount’s absence due to an injury, he could have found the right man to replace him.
In this sense, it is worth remembering that the club recently announced the injury of Mount, which would have been suffered in the game against Tottenham in North London, after which Mount could be out of the pitch for one and a half month. The situation would have forced Erik Ten Hag to look for solutions, and the Dutchman would have already moved his pieces.
According to the Mancunian journal Manchester Evening standard, the 20-year-old Tunisian midfielder Hannibal Mejbri would be in contention to make the matchday squad for Nottingham Forest, which would mean that the Tunisian player could be the next piece set to fill the United’s midfield alongside Casemiro at any point of the game against Forest.
In this respect, and according to the Manchester Evening Standard sources, Erik Ten Hag would be trying to make some important changes in the team’s midfield, and in the next few hours the club would try to sell Scott McTominay and Donny Van de Beek to make a place for Sofyan Amrabat or Ryan Gravenberch, identified as the right midfielders for the team by Ten Hag.
