Liverpool delivered and beat Everton in the Merseyside Derby in yet another edition of the Premier League. After days of speculation about the team's performance, the team showed who is in charge on Merseyside and they did it in the best way with a brace from Mohamed Salah. In the same way, the proper functioning of teamwork and Klopp's curious starting lineup finally paid off.
Without a doubt, the new signings at Anfield have had a big influence. Especially in the case of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Both have become key players for the team and have shown it in recent games. For this reason, things are looking good for a team that is currently securing third place in the Premier League.
After the scandal against Tottenham and the decision against Liverpool, the German's team had to settle on forgetting the matter for the moment and concentrating on the future. Because of this, things would gradually improve with important victories but with a team that simply did not seem to be in their best spirits. Nevertheless, the FIFA International Break helped to solve this little by little.
Similarly, the expectations for the Merseyside Derby were completely in Liverpool's favour. However, the awkward neighbour of Goodison Park had a good performance where he complicated the game for the Reds at times. One of the key players of the team was undoubtedly Alexis Mac Allister, who continues to shine in the Premier League after winning the World Cup in Qatar.
After the win over Everton, the Argentine couldn't hide his excitement about playing his first derby in England. These were his words: Fantastic win in the Merseyside derby. It's an honour to wear the Red’s Jersey. Thanks for the incredible support, Mac Allister stated
