Manchester United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana spoke to the media in the club’s press conference ahead of their Champions League opener against Bayern Munchen to be played in the next few hours in the Allianz Stadium. The Cameroonian goalkeeper surprised the fans with a revelation about David De Gea and he gave a proof of his strong personality answering some controversial questions.

In this sense, Onana was asked about the role he would be having at Manchester United and the goalkeeper did not have any doubt on answering that he would be confident that things would be alright on the pitch for him against Bayern, and he would be looking forward to the game being really exciting and confident.

In this respect, Onana rejected the claims on showing his shot-stopping skills. "I don't think I am here because I am only good with my feet! The most important thing is the team and to win. If the team needs me with my feet, I will be good with my feet", said the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

Onana would be proud of replacing De Gea at Manchester United

The Cameroonian goalkeeper wanted to refer David De Gea as a referent for him in his career as a Manchester United player, as he would be trying his best to engrave his name in United’s history. "I am a very passionate player and I demand a lot from my teammates and my defenders. But, as I've always said, we're all in this together. Being part of this great club is incredible. Manchester United is an incredible club, it's huge. I'm happy to be here. Replacing David is not easy. I try to do my best, of course. The start of the season is not what we want, but we believe that things will improve, the situation will turn around and I am very confident. I know everything will be fine", explained Onana.
