Manchester United legend Andy Cole spoke about the French striker Anthony Martial in the last few hours and slammed the former AS Monaco player, since he would have been disappointed with his performances during all his time at the club, where he would not have responded to the expectations created around him since his arrival to the institution in 2015.
In this sense, Andy Cole would consider that the 27-year-old player, who arrived from AS Monaco for €50 million as “the new Henry” would not have responded to that nickname, and would have fallen short of those expectations, being subject of a brutal review by the Manchester United legend.
In this way, Andy Cole slammed Anthony Martial reviewing the French player’s career at United, which would have not been convincing at all according to Cole. “Martial has been at Manchester United for 8 years now and he hasn't even scored 100 goals. It's incredible. He is a center-forward at Manchester United and he has played in some fantastic teams. His best performance in the league was 17 goals. He’s had more than enough time and opportunity to show United just how good he is and he unfortunately hasn't been able to do so", said Cole.
In addition, Cole claimed that Erik Ten Hag should trust another player to be on the bench instead of Martial. "There must be a youth player who is better who can sit on the bench, and Hojlund can be the first striker. All Manchester United fans are fed up with seeing a player with a lousy attitude, who always sulks and complains, and it's a blessing that Man Utd finally has an attacker who plays with enthusiasm", explained Cole.
