Manchester United could reduce their distance with Galatasaray in the Group A after Bayern Munchen defeated the Turkish side with a great 1-3 in the RAMS Park Stadium on the third day of the 2023/2024 Champions League’s group stage, where the Bavarian team struggled until scoring their second goal, that drove them to end dominating entirely their rival.
The German team opened the scoring very soon, at the 8th minute with a goal by Coman, who sent a powerful crossed right footed shot to the rival net after a great combination of the Bavarian side. However, the locals could score the equalizer through Mauro Icardi, who converted a penalty at the 30th minute with a brilliant Panenka kick.
The second half started with the locals dominating and Bayern defending desperately, but they were gradually running out of steam after failing to score while Bayern grew in confidence, until the Bavarian team reacted and scored two more goals to seal their victory in ten fatidic minutes for the locals.
In this sense, the English striker Harry Kane scored at the 73rd minute and Jamal Musiala added another goal six minutes later, which allowed the German club to reach the important record win streak in the Champions League group stage to 16 games and go 37 games unbeaten in the group stage. The victory of Bayern also helped Manchester United, who could reduce their distance from Galatasaray, who now are second in the group with 4 points and the Red Devils are third with three.
