Chelsea about to make a last minute move to to overcome Liverpool in the race for Caicedo

Chelsea’s coach Mauricio Pochettino expressed his opinion about Moises Caicedo’s matter in the club’s press conference ahead of their Premier League opener against Liverpool in Stamford Bridge. Precisely Liverpool would be the rival of the Blues even before the game, since the Anfield team was reported in the last few hours to have agreed with Brighton the sale of Moises Caicedo for €127 million.

However, according to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea could be still trying to sign the player, since despite Liverpool has the agreement with Brighton and the medical tests booked for the player, Chelsea would have already agreed personal terms with Moises Caicedo some weeks ago, and now they would be trying to make that agreement prevalence.  

Following the Fabrizio Romano sources, Caicedo could finally decide to keep his word and only accept Chelsea, having accepted personal terms since the end of May, while the Blues would be expected to make a new offer for the player to have a deal done with Brighton and grant the player’s arrival in the next few hours.
