Chelsea could struggle in the next few hours to sign one of the Mauricio Pochettino’s top targets in the summer transfer market window, since a Saudi club has been reported to have joined the race to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, while the Seagulls would have already rejected four Chelsea’s offers in this summer.
At the moment, Brighton would be asking for around €110 million for the player, an amount considered unreal by Chelsea, who has gotten rejected a €70 million, a €75 million, a €80 million and recently a €90 million offer for the player, while the Blues’ coach Mauricio Pochettino would be insisting on having a top level midfielder for his squad.
Meanwhile, and according to the English channel Sky Sports, Chelsea would have received bad news in the race to sign the player, as a Saudi club could have gone wild joining the race in the last few hours with a crazy offer, which could make Chelsea struggle to convince Brighton to let the player go while the Seagulls seem to be determined to set a steep price for the player, overcoming the bar of the €100 million.
In this sense, and following Sky Sports sources, a non-identified Saudi club yet, would have made Brighton a €85 million offer, which could create trouble for Chelsea to sign the player, and a move by the Blues could be made in the next few days to grant the player’s arrival to Stamford Bridge for the upcoming 2023/2024 Premier League season.
