Mauricio Pochettino has started the Chelsea pre-season with some names in mind to reinforce the team. The Argentine coach has already asked a striker to lead the team’s attack, as he considers a big man in front could be necessary to hold the ball and create his own shot in and around the box.
In this sense, Chelsea has already been linked with Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, a player who fits the profile requested by Pochettino and a good opportunity in the transfer market, as it has been confirmed that his team won’t play European competitions this season and Vlahovic could be willing to leave the club.
In that sense, Chelsea has been reported to have offered a swap deal to Juventus, which would send the Serbian striker to London while they receive Lukaku. This would be the best option for Chelsea, who is trying to convince Lukaku to leave while the business is getting cold, as new clubs are joining the race to sign Vlahovic.
The bad news for Chelsea is confirmed. In the last few hours, PSG has been reported to join the race to sign Vlahovic. The new PSG manager, Luis Enrique Martinez considers the player a very good option to give depth to the PSG attack and the Parisian club could be ready to make its first offer for the player in the next few hours. This way the race for Vlahovic could get harder for Chelsea, as Bayern Munchen already showed interest in signing him and now PSG could appear with a huge bid for the player. This circumstances could make Chelsea lose the player if they don’t move quickly to get Vlahovic soon.
