The player would be a sensational signing for the Red Devils

Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag would have identified an impressive target ready to make a significant impact in his arrival to Old Trafford, as the Red Devils would have been monitoring a French player from Lille who already reached a Hazard record in the team, whose potential signing for United would mean a sensational addition for the Mancunian institution.

The player in question is the young 18-year-old defender Leny Yoro, one of the French league's most talented prospects having made his first senior appearance in May 2022, having become the second youngest ever Lille player in achieving that, with the former Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard in third place.

In this sense, according to the French site Le10, Manchester United would have started to monitor the young French gem and a concrete move could be made for the player in the next few months, while Lille would be pushing very hard to try and keep their player by extending his contract with the club as soon as possible ahead of the January transfer window start.

Manchester United wouldn’t be alone in the race for the player

Following these sources, Erik Ten Hag would be keen to reinforce his backline with the young defender, ready to develop his talent inside his squad, but the Red Devils could find a great opposition from their neighbors of Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola would be also tracking the player to seal his potential arrival to the Etihad Stadium.
