Liverpool gets ready to say goodbye to one of their most beloved players in the last few years. After having received an irresistible offer from the Saudi Pro League, where the player would face a new big challenge, he couldn’t avoid getting the chance to get a huge contract in the latest years of his career, among which would remain a brilliant period at Liverpool.
We talk about Jordan Henderson, wha started to be courted by Al Ettifaq as soon as the Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was introduced as the Saudi club’s new manager. Gerrard asked for his signing to create a winning project at his team, and would become Henderson into the team’s first superstar.
It is worth to say that Henderson will face a real challenge at Al Ettifaq, as the team was almost relegated last year and is currently looking for improving its performance in the Saudi Pro League, where the Henderson arrival won’t be the only one linked with Liverpool, since Bobby Firmino signed for Al Ahli some weeks ago.
At the moment it hasn’t been revealed the amount of the transfer fee which Al Ettifaq would pay to acquire Henderson, but has been rumored to be around £13 million by the British press Meanwhile, he would sign a three-year contract worth close to £700,000 per week with Al Ettifaq, where he will be welcomed by the 33-year-old’s former Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard.
