Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag scarcely changed some players in the team’s formation against Crystal Palace following the latest victory against the Eagles in the third round of the Carabao Cup to face them again on the seventh day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season in Old Trafford.
The Dutchman repeated the idea of placing Amrabat as a right back and Mount playing alongside Casemiro in the midfield, and he only sent Garnacho, Hannibal and Martial to the bench to replace them with Pellistri, Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund, who will try to score his first goal in the Premier League with the Red Devils after having scored against Bayern Munchen in Champions League.
On their side, Crystal Palace also presented almost the same starting XI that faced United in the Carabao Cup, with the exception of the presence of Guehi and Doucoure who this time started the game for the Eagles, who will try to improve the image they showed against the Red Devils during the week being trashed 3-0.
Manchester United will try to achieve a win with the following lineup: Onana; Amrabat, Varane, Lindelof, Dalot; Casemiro, Mount; Pellistri, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund. From the bench, the following players will wait for their opportunity to join the game: Bayindir, Evans, Maguire, Eriksen, Hannibal, McTominay, Van de Beek,Garnacho, Martial
