Manchester City’s coach Pep Guardiola could have great news soon as the Catalan manager could seal the signing of Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munchen for the next summer transfer market window according to the German press, which informed from the reasons why the player could be finally arriving to the Etihad Stadium to start a new challenge under Pep Guardiola’s management.
Kimmich, who is currently under contract with his team until June 2025, has been on Bayern’s books since July 2015, when he joined the side in a €7 million deal from Stuttgart. Since then, Kimmich has turned into a modern-day icon of the club, having made 367 appearances and registered 41 goals and 100 assists with the institution in all competitions.
However, the latest appearances of the German playmaker wouldn’t have convinced Bayern, whose sporting direction would consider that the player has decreased his level at the team in the last few months, which could seriously affect the negotiations of the player with the club to extend his tie with the Bavarian institution.
In this sense, according to the English football site Caughtoffside, the permanence of the player at Bayern would be uncertain due to this conflict, and following these sources Manchester City could take advantage from the situation, as Pep Guardiola is a great admirer of the player since he coached him at Bayern Munchen, with a potential great offer from the Citizen for the player arriving in the next few months.
