Liverpool and Al Ettifaq continue talking for Jordan Henderson, as the Saudi team made an approach in the last few days but a concrete offer is yet to be agreed. In this sense, both teams have a strong confidence in completing the deal in the next few hours despite having some disagreement in the price to pay for the player.
Al Ettifaq was confident about getting the player for a symbolic price as they had already agreed personal terms with Henderson, but Liverpool would ask for an offer close to £20 million to let his captain go, which is now the main issue to seal the transfer.
In that sense, and according to the British press, Liverpool would be expected to receive an official offer in the coming days for Jordan Henderson as confidence grows that the transfer will be completed. Henderson would have his medical in Croatia, at Al Ettifaq's camp, if the deal is agreed.
Meanwhile, Henderson has been reported to have already enquired about suitable accommodation in Dammam, the city where Al Ettifaq belongs to. In that sense, the 33-year-old player could be ready to give his first steps with his new club in the Saudi Pro League, where he would have the main goal of making his team grow, as Al Ettigaq was almost relegated last season, and this campaign wants to jump into the top positions of Saudi football.
