He shone in the 2014 World Cup, failed in the Premier League and now he has no job

The success seems not to be forever for some players in world football. Everyday we can see how players with huge potentials must be as professional as possible to keep being on the top of their careers, as many of the emerging football stars usually see as their careers go down in a surprising way and their potential can end in nothing.

One of those examples is the Colombian player James Rodriguez, who is now enjoying his vacations in Colombia while is looking for a new club to continue his soccer career, as after his resignation from the Olympiakos in Greece, he is a free agent available to sign with any institution, but he hasn’t received any attractive offer yet.

The 31-year-old midfielder won the hearts of football fans all across the globe in the summer of 2014, when he scored a wonderful goal for Colombia against Uruguay at the World Cup in Brazil. There, he won the Golden Boot of the tournament and got a dream job as a new Real Madrid player, but things in Spain didn’t work for him, as he only scored 37 goals in 125 games played, giving 42 assists.

After Real Madrid, he passed through Bayern Munchen, Everton, Al-Rayyan SC and Olympiakos, not being able even to reach the 10 goals in any of them.  

The player is currently looking for a job

James Rodriguez is living in Medellin Colombia, has had no club since April, when he left Olympiakos before the season finished by mutual consent with the Greek club. However, last week he surprised the fans when he posted on his social network a video of him working out at his mansion in Medellin. The ex Everton player will try to get a job in this transfer market window, where his value will be much lower than someday it was, as his current value has drastically decreased, being in 2014 at €80 million while he is currently valued at only €6 million.
