Guardiola broke yet another record in his long history of world football titles.

The celebrations for Manchester City's UEFA Champions League triumph will go on all night. Josep Guardiola's team joy will not be over for long, and the fans are in for a long, joyous night as they celebrate their first continental title.

The Citizens join a select list of English teams who have won Europe's greatest trophy. And it also recognises the efforts of players such as Erling Haaland, who has broken the all-time Premier League goalscoring record.

From the way they won the league title against Arsenal to the way they dominated Real Madrid in the two legs of the semi-finals to the hard-fought final against Inter Milan by just one goal, it caps a dream season for the Citizens.

And in doing so, they also achieved a new record of dominance on European soil. This proves that the English league is one of the most powerful in the world and that no one can stand up to them today because of their great economic and sporting power.

What record did City achieve in this final?

In the last five years three English teams have won the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool in the 18/19 season, Chelsea in the 20/21 season and now Manchester City in 2023. Only Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were able to stop the hegemony of the Premier League teams.
